Volunteers & Sponsors: Help us make 2016 the BIGGEST & LOUDEST Wellington Pride Festival!
We wouldn't be able to pull off a great event year after year without the generous support of our sponsors! Please get in touch if you would like to be a sponsor of Out in the Park and the Wellington Pride Parade.
Community Sponsorship Voucher Deal
What you receive?
Your business will receive recognition in our social media and printed program. Your business will be known as a supporter of our LGBTIQ communities. We will also give you free hugs because we reckon you’re amazing.
Support to the level your business can afford to support. We love vouchers. We can even produce the vouchers to make it easy. We just require your logo be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You will of course need to sign these vouchers to make them valid.
NOTE: We have other levels of support if your business is keen to support at a higher level. Just let us know and get in touch at email@example.com.
Out in the Park wouldn't run without the help of our volunteers! There are many ways to get involved in Out in the Park, the Wellington Pride Parade and the Wellington Pride Festival. We need help throughout the year to plan and coordinate all the festivities, as well as at the events themselves.
Get in touch if you would like to get involved! We are always looking for people who have a passion and interest in putting on events for the queer community, or who have particular skills they think would help in our planning efforts.
You can join in the lead up to the events or help out on the day. We need help especially with following things:
o Parade crafters – crafting banners, flags and signs for the Wellington Pride Parade (Karen Harris - crafternoons happen Wed and Sat at Vincents' Art Workshop)
o Stall helpers & motivators – assisting the Site Manager in setting up the stalls on Friday evening, pack-in and pack-out for stallholders and help keeping our stallholders happy during the Fair. (Phyllis Meier & Steven Mawhinney)
o Stage helpers – assisting the Entertainment team with acts and shows. (Andy Harness & Cathie Sheat)
o Fundraisers - assisting the Fundraising team with engaging local businesses for sponsorship ahead of the event. (Greig Wilson)
o Comms - creating a buzz on social media (Twitter, FB) and designing graphics
o Casual – For those who just wants to help out with anything including carrying stuff, counting people, helping with Parliament Launch for Festival, handing out flyers, selling raffle tickets etc.
