Our Pride Parade is Back!

Registrations have closed now. If you still make up your mind, you are more than welcome to just come along with your groups and organisation. Don't forget to bring your banners, outfits and what else you need to make some noise!

Gathering at Frank Kitts Park starts at 9.30am, speeches at 10.15am - we march off after that and should arrive at Waitangi Park at 11am!

We are going to be bigger and brighter than ever! The Wellington Pride Parade took Wellington by storm for the first time in 2015. Queer and queer-friendly groups, organisations and individuals came together and took to the street to celebrate our community.

The Parade in 2015 was led by five fabulous Parade Goddesses: Amanduh la Whore, Georgina Beyer, Marcella, Lilly Loud Mouth and Fifi Fobulous. Around 20 groups came out in full colour, glamour and pizzazz.

In 2016 we will be Dancing in the Streets! Get your 80s gear on or just get ready with your costumes, banners and glitter to celebrate the momentous occasion with us of the 30th anniversary since the Homosexual Law Reform!

Wellington Pride Parade will start in Frank Kitts Park and ends in Waitangi Park, heading down the waterfront. The parade is for everyone, bring along your community group, whānau, friends, family, pets, work buddies, neighbours... there is room for everyone! Sign language interpreters will be there for the speeches at the beginning.

Let's celebrate both the past and the future of our community by Dancing in the Streets!

The amazing members of Richter City Roller Derby will be our marshalls for the Pride Parade! Thanks so much for your support already!
