Lisa’s musical credits include touring worldwide with Neil Finn and working with Hollie Smith, Rhombus, Fly My Pretties, Shapeshifter, Fat Freddy's Drop to name a mere few. Vanessa’s credentials are equally impressive; having collaborated, recorded and/or toured with The Nomad, Module, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Imon Starr & more.

Our headline act Polly Filla returns to Wellington!

Wellington's Legendary Drag Diva Polly Filla is excited to return to her hometown to host and perform at Out in the Park!

The entire cargo hold of an Airbus A3-20 has been booked out just to bring Polly's extensive wardrobe (and hair) with her!

"Wellington is where I started my (now) professional drag career, and though I've now been in Melbourne for the past 10 years, Wellington will always be home!"

"Growing up in Petone, I took after school drama classes at Hutt Repertory Theatre and I performed in Am Dram Musicals at the Lower Hutt Little Theatre. Later, I Studied Sewing and Construction at The Bowerman School of Design where I learned how to hone my costume making skills. Sue Bowerman encouraged me to enter the Wellington Cup Fashion in the Field competition, and I ended up winning the Avant Garde Section four years in a row!"

"I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone at Out in the Park - I'm bringing several of my favourite shows over with me, and later in the day i'll be joined my my three incredible dancers - Chelley, Karen and Katty - "The Dazzling Fillettes" and we'll be taking to the stage to perform some spectacular stage shows for you all

Our headliner Manthyng brings the crazy to stage

Fronted by the charasmatic queer performer Stanley Manthyng his Manthyng live show is fun, fast paced and a must to dance to! Manthyng are excited to be performing at Out in the Park 2016 as they haven't played in Wellington since the closure of Mighty Mighty.

MANTHYNG is a fun and slightly crazy duo made of singer/songwriter Stanley Manthyng and is accompanied by DJ Chimp. Stanley brings his skills as a talented songwriter and has years of industry experience, having been a finalist in 1990 for NZ's prestigious Silver Scroll Songwriting Award. He also has the honour of having written four NZ top-ten hits with bands Double J and Twice the T and World Gone Wild.

  • Tiwhanawhana
    Tīwhanawhana is a takatāpui community group based in Wellington that welcomes people of diverse sexualities and gender identity.
    The kaupapa or purpose of the group is primarily for takatapui; building its community, telling its stories and leaving a legacy that will inspire others.

  • Lilly Loudmouth
    The loudest most northern fowl mouthed import that hit our fair shores in Wellington. Her Northern English charm, as well as her love and hard work for her community has made Lilly very special and loved by all mana of the rainbow whanau.

  • The Klaus Vermillion Quartet
    Klaus Vermillion, the esteemed troubadour of murky origin travels the world with his band of wanderers and nomads, peddling their distinctive red hot brand of jazz manouche straight from the dirty dens of 1930s Europe.

  • Amanduh La Whore
    Amanduh is a presenter extraordinaire, a showgirl with simplistic elegance and a strong advocate for the Wellington queer community. She's a Wellington queer icon who's clocked up many hours entertaining the masses in Wellington, New Zealand and internationally.

  • Blu Virtue
    Popular dancer Blu Virtue returns to the stage this year. His passionate, precise dancing technique mesmerizes as he shares his interpretation of love and lust.  With a touch of hip hop and a dash of burlesque, there’s more than enough charm to go around.

  • Le Moana
    Led by Artistic Director Tupe Lualua, Le Moana is a dance company in Wellington that embraces the heritage dance practices of the Pacific. Le Moana is a vessel for the exchange of stories, concepts and ideas through the medium of Pacific dance, theatre and film.

  • Zeph Hoophooligan & Nat Lunatrick
    We’re thrilled to have Gay partners Zeph Hoophooligan & Nat Lunatrick at Waitangi Park. These two international circus & street artists have performed in over 20 countries for clients such as Cirque Du Soleil, Glastonbury Festival (UK) and many others.

  • Ladyfruit
    Te Kahureremoa Taumata aka Ladyfruit is performing for her third time at the Out in the Park fair. Ladyfruit is a modern day storyteller, who sings about true school stuff, she flows in and out of many genres. She's always mission ready with a song and a yarn.

  • Neil Thornton
    The import from New York City and a favorite in Wellington and Auckland comedy clubs. He performs all over New Zealand, opening for Urzila Carlson, Mike King, Paul Ego, Jeremy Corbett, Brendan Lovegrove, Ewen Gilmour, Jeremy Elwood, and many others.

  • Yosakoi Japan Dancers
    Yosakoi is a unique style of dance that originated in Japan. The style of dance is highly energetic, combining traditional Japanese dance movements with modern music.

  • The cast of "The Little Boys' Room"
    Nipless Cage, Bjorn Amann, Hugo Grrl, Timothy Taffy and Gary Krumbert may only be mostly male, but they can shake their fake things with the best of them. They’ve put on their big boy pants and preened their facial hair - primed and ready to descend in a hailstorm of duct tape, glitter and suspiciously sweaty tube socks.

  • The Glamaphones
    Wellington's gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex community choir. Their emphasis is on participation, inclusiveness and building our GLBTIQ community. The choir is in good health with nearly 60 members.

  • Mama DeZiyah
    Mama DeZiyah is the winner of Wellington’s Miss Capital Drag 2015. Patti LuPone is her biggest inspiration and she enjoys her way of pushing boundaries, having fun, being silly and entertain.

  • Tomboi
    The two-person entertainment empire offer a range of comedy performance and drag. Tomboi’s unique approach will be a special, memorable, fun experience for everyone. Andy & Cathie are also our entertainment coordinators.

  • Pump Dance Studios
    Pump Dance Studios will certainly be pumping on stage this Saturday! High energy & tight choreography will leave you wanting more. Hip hop & contemporary at its best!

  • Marcella de Tella
    Classy, frivolous and exciting - Marcella de Tella is one of the rising stars in the Wellington Drag scene. Just hosted the Opening Ceremony at Parliament for Homosexual Law Reform and Wellington Pride Festival | Tū whakahīhī e Te Whanganui-ā-Tara - now on stage at Out in the Park
